This photoshoot focuses on how all women are naturally beautiful while also breaking the stigma that women should only wear lingerie to please men through the empowering showcase of five different models in stereotypically ‘intimate’ outfits. A huge inspiration for this photoshoot was the lingerie company ‘Savage x Fenty’, who have ‘disrupted the lingerie industry and redefined ‘sexy’, The brand states that they have something for every mood, every vibe and every BODY as they push to celebrate fearlessness, confidence and inclusivity. Many lingerie brands such as Victoria’s Secret and Ann Summers are owned and run by men, whereas Savage x Fenty was introduced and is owned by the popular singer Rihanna - Savage x Fenty is led by women for women. Similar to Savage x Fenty, this photoshoot also strives to celebrate ‘fearlessness, confidence and inclusivity’ through working with a group of different models and shooting them in lingerie sets in a very empowering manner. Although female beauty can be shown in many different ways, this shoot displays the models in an intimate dress to portray their true natural beauty, as well as breaking the stereotype that photos of women in lingerie are only objectifying through shooting five different models in a candid, powerful and certainly non-sexual portrayal. Therefore, the intention of this shoot is to educate an audience that all bodies are perfect and that showing skin in lingerie is empowering in every single way.
